Take Me to Tarlac

Has it ever happened to you that you’re looking for something, and instead of finding what you’re looking for, you find something MUCH BETTER than you were expecting?

That’s exactly what happened when I went to my mother’s birthplace of Tarlac City, Philippines and went searching for her ancestral home.

Since my mother couldn’t travel with me to the Philippines, I brought back the footage that was captured during that search. Her reaction is priceless, especially because she hasn’t seen these places in over 70 years!

And in the end, I found something equally, and in some ways, even more meaningful and important to share with her.

I found family.
