I’m Ba-aaaack!

It took me 9 years to return to the Philippines in 2023. After that life changing visit last year, it only took 8 months for me to come back.

That’s right… I returned to the Philippines. But this time was vastly different. 

Less anxiety. More tears.

Diving deep on my identity as a Filipina. American. Creative. has brought up the complexity of what it means to not fully belong to either world. Each turn along my path of discovery makes me want to learn more, even if it means I’m confronting feelings and realizations that at times go completely against each other.

It’s the most challenging and fulfilling experience of my life. Especially because the Motherland is starting to feel familiar the more I open my heart to her.
